Harrogate Music Centre Junior Choir and Richard Taylor school choir concert, West Park United Reformed Church, Harrogate.
THE large audience enjoyed a very varied programme of songs from musicals, folksong and church music.

The concert was presented by Carmel Wake and Ann Bentley, with piano accompaniments from Paul Dyson and Jonathan Hills.

Noteworthy were the vo
cal solos and great part-singing from the Richard Taylor School and some wonderful flute playing from Katie Thompson.

THE persistent rain didn't dampen the spirits of those who took part and listened to the group.

The varied programme included pieces such as 'Pirates of the Carribean', 'Soul Bossa Nova', 'The Pink Panther', music from 'Pocahontas' and 'Lloyd Webber Medlay'.

The pieces, expertly performed, along with demonstrations of the various instruments in each family, were appreciatively received by school audiences at Saltergate Junior, Western and Rossett Acre primaries.

A sincere well done to all who made the day a memorable one, especially director Stephen Price, Kate Price, Caroline Edwards, Duncan Else and Mrs Kirk.
