THIS weekend sees a live music event at Harrogate's Viper Rooms.
Women Rock! takes place this Sunday from 5pm and features music from Harrogate-based bands, Tunji, Moneyshot, Stilletto Farm DJ’s: Dharma, Electric Press, 601 and Chris Hunter.

The event is supported by Glass Forest Gallery and Contemporary Hair o
f Harrogate, both on Station Parade.

Organiser, Kelly Gavaghan, explained all proceeds from the event are going to Women’s Aid, Harrogate.

A former victim of domestic violence, Kelly said: “I found the experience of having to relive the pain that myself and my daughter went through harrowing and extremely upsetting and wanted to turn a negative into a positive.

“I decided to do something about it as having had to use the Women’s Aid on several occasions and of course the refuge, I knew that they were in dire need of funds. The support we have had over these events has been phenomenal and the bands and DJ’s have been queuing up to play.”

Tickets are £3 on the door.

For more details, email kelly.gavaghan@hotmail.co.uk or call 07982 443067 if you would like to be involved in the event or would like to make a private donation.
