Harrogate Hospital announces it has no Covid-19 patients for first time during pandemic

The trust which runs the hospital tweeted today, Thursday, saying: "We are really pleased to share with you that, at present, we have no Covid-19 positive inpatients at Harrogate District Hospital.
"This is a huge milestone and comes down to the incredible hard work and dedication of all colleagues at teamHDFT."

Hide AdThe news comes as the hospital has reported no coronavirus deaths for more than two weeks.
It means the death toll at the hospital remains at 82.
A total of 104 care home residents in the Harrogate district have died after testing positive for the virus.
There are 723 confirmed coronavirus cases in the district.
Nationally, it was announced today that 12 more coronavirus patients have died in England.
None of the patients were in Yorkshire or the North East.

Hide AdNHS England said the patients were aged between 40 and 96 and all had known underlying health conditions.
It takes the death toll in England’s hospitals to 29,329.
